Sync4 Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 11, 2026

1 Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Sync4 ("the app") handles information when you use it. Sync4 is developed and maintained by the VYORA.AI Team. This document describes the app's actual current behavior, not a generic template.

2 Information the App Handles

Sync4 is a multi-language coding environment for Android supporting the following languages:

  • C
  • C++
  • Python
  • C#

The information the app handles is limited to: the source files and project data you create, open, or import; your app preferences (theme, editor font size, tab size, word wrap, line numbers, auto-save, sort order, and favorited files); and a local "recent files" list recording which files you've opened and when. Sync4 does not require you to create an account and does not collect your name, email address, or other personal identifiers to use the app.

3 Locally Stored Files and Project Data

Your source files, projects, and app preferences are stored locally on your device using Android's Room database and DataStore preferences storage. This data is not automatically synced to any cloud service and remains on your device unless you explicitly share, export, or transmit it (see Section 6).

4 How Information Is Used

Locally stored data is used solely to provide the app's functionality: displaying your files, remembering your editor preferences, showing your recent projects, and letting you compile and run your code. Sync4 does not use your source code or file content for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating the app's features.

5 File Access and Permissions

When you open a source file from another app (Google Drive, Files, WhatsApp, Gmail, Google Classroom, or similar, via Android's "Open With"/"Share" feature), Sync4 reads that file's content only through the specific, limited access the sending app grants for that file. Sync4 does not request or hold broad storage permissions on your device.

6 Third-Party Services

Sync4 uses certain third-party services to provide advertising, subscription, and code-execution functionality.

When you use Sync4's "Run" feature, the source code you are running (and any input you provide it) is sent over the network to Sync4's backend service, which in turn uses Judge0, a third-party code execution engine, to compile and run your code and return the result. This transmission happens only when you explicitly choose to compile or run code. Sync4 does not control, and this policy cannot make representations about, how long Judge0 or the backend infrastructure retains submitted code after processing it.

Sync4 uses Google AdMob to display advertisements to users of the free version of the app. AdMob may process certain information, including device or advertising-related information, as necessary to provide, measure, and personalize advertising in accordance with Google's applicable policies and settings. Sync4 does not directly control the information collected or processed by Google through its advertising services.

Sync4 also offers optional paid subscriptions. Subscription purchases are processed through Google Play's billing system. Sync4 does not directly receive or store your full payment card, bank account, or other payment-method details. Google Play handles payment processing and subscription billing according to Google's applicable terms and policies.

7 Data Storage and Retention

Locally stored files, projects, and preferences remain on your device until you delete them within the app or uninstall Sync4, at which point Android removes the app's local data.

Code submitted for compilation/execution through Sync4's "Run" feature is handled by Sync4's backend and Judge0 for the duration needed to process that request. Sync4 does not control or make representations about third-party retention practices outside its own systems.

Advertising-related information processed by Google AdMob and subscription-related information processed by Google Play are subject to Google's applicable privacy policies, retention practices, and account settings.

8 Data Sharing

Sync4 does not sell your personal data.

Sync4 shares information with third-party services only when necessary to provide specific app functionality:

  • Judge0 Judge0 / Sync4 backend: Source code and input that you explicitly submit through the "Run" feature, so that your code can be compiled and executed.
  • AdMob Google AdMob: Information necessary for displaying and delivering advertisements in the free version of Sync4. Google may process device and advertising-related information as described in Google's applicable policies.
  • Play Google Play: Information necessary to process and manage optional Sync4 subscriptions and purchases. Payment details are handled by Google Play rather than stored directly by Sync4.

These third-party services operate under their own privacy policies and terms. Sync4 does not sell your data to these services.

9 Security

Sync4's backend communication uses standard network transport; local data is protected by Android's own app-sandboxing and storage protections. No system can guarantee absolute security, and this policy makes no such claim.

10 Children's Privacy

Sync4 does not knowingly direct itself at, or collect personal information from, children. The app has no account system or age verification; it functions as a general-purpose code editor.

11 User Rights

Because your files and preferences are stored locally, you can view, edit, or delete them directly within the app (File Manager, Editor) or by uninstalling the app, which removes its local data from your device.

12 Changes to This Privacy Policy

This policy may be updated as Sync4's features change. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
